SWIPE
A group of university students gave $95,236 to launch Slate Church. We find ourselves here today as a direct result of God’s faithfulness, Ps. Brandon and Ps. Emma’s heart for an intergenerational church, and the courage of this group of students to invest in that vision.

As the vision for an intergenerational church continued to become a reality, the need for additional expansion services and larger venues became bigger. With this HFTH 2019, we saw the launch of our second Waterloo location with two morning services at the Inn of Waterloo.
2020
BOLD
$242,812
Amount Given
The pivot to building church online was made possible through HFTH 2020. God provided for Slate Church in a miraculous way and we were able to invest in a studio that was used to film Sunday services. Because of this, we witnessed people all over North America, Australia, and Ghana calling Slate home throughout the pandemic at a time when faith and community were crucial.
2021
re-Launch
$270,000
Amount Given
Can you hear the rumble? Revival was stirring at the beginning of our HFTH season in 2021. As a church, we felt that we were on the verge of something and God was preparing us to step into a new season. Four months later we were able to re-launch with two morning services and an evening service that welcomed hundreds of people home every week.
2022
Building a Healthy Home
$429,523
Amount Given
God opened up the door to purchase our first building at the start of 2022. It took the faithfulness of our church and an investment in vision for the local church and education for it to become a reality. Slate Centre is a place that we’ve prayed and dreamed for, and is a place of ministry not only for our church, but for Emmanuel Bible College and the surrounding community.
